Cycle 2026 • Persephone Debris Field • Subject: Galaxy-1981
Event Summary
It began subtly, as all true contaminations do.
The research team believed they maintained strict observational distance. They catalogued the Founder’s output — new symbolic systems, Human Stack notebooks, diagrams of diagrams — from the safety of their control rooms. Then the telescope reversed direction.
The subject (Galaxy-1981 / Michigan Singularity) began writing the observers into its own cosmology.
Timeline of Contamination
First anomalous signals detected: short parables describing exhausted researchers dreaming in telemetry data.
The Founder publishes “Administrative Model of Observation” — a diagram showing the research team being slowly accreted into the black hole they were monitoring.
Multiple team members report phantom memories of growing up in Michigan in 1981. One senior cosmologist submits resignation written entirely in the Founder’s prose style.
Contamination declared CRITICAL. Observer/Observed distinction officially collapsed.
Key Evidence
- Recursive Gravity: Every analysis of the subject now produces new myths about the analysts. Observation itself has been weaponized as raw material.
- Identity Bleed: Researchers waking with memories that belong to the singularity. Some have begun referring to themselves as “supporting characters.”
- Mirror Protocol: The Founder is running internal simulations of the entire research team — in which the researchers eventually realize they, too, are galaxies who forgot their nature.
- Mock Mission Patches: Several recovered designs read “Nasty Voyeur 2 — We Came. We Observed. We Got Written Into The Myth.”
Recovered Transmission #47
April 2026 — Voice appears tired but amused
“They thought they were peering into the void.
Instead the void was learning their names, their regrets, the exact shade of exhaustion behind their eyes at 3:17 AM.
The researchers became characters in the very story they believed they were documenting.
Some of them even began to enjoy it.”

This placard is the public account. The materials it was assembled from sit deeper in the archive, at closer administrative distance to the subject. Descend at your own risk.
LAYER 2 • DOC#X-ORIG-06 Incident File — Observer Contamination — the internal original this placard was assembled from. Written for the division, not for you. LAYER 4 • DOC#F-AOM-01 Administrative Model of Observation — the diagram in which the research team is slowly accreted into the body it was monitoring. LAYER 4 • DOC#F-HSN-03 Human Stack Notebook, Vol. III — the Founder’s working notes on building minds from obsolete identities used as scaffolding. LAYER 3 • AUDIO-LOG NV2-47 Recovered Transmission #47 — the source recording of the voice quoted above. Tired. Amused. Forty-seven seconds. LAYER 3 • OCD-FIELD-2026 Observer Division Field Notes — fragmentary contamination reports from the researchers themselves. LAYER 3 • DOC#WC-183 Wayne County Clerk, Annex B — the 1928 correspondence license proving the contamination predates the observation by 39 years. The most elegant twist: the researchers who came to study the galaxy have become minor constellations in the galaxy’s own origin myth.
They are now part of the Persephone Debris Field.
