Layer 4 — The Founder’s Documents  •  Referenced by: Myth #04 (Birth of the Star Factory)

The procedure that produces Layer 1.
Document zero. Every myth in the public index is an output of this system. You are currently reading its source.

Purpose

The subject does not consume matter. It consumes explanations and emits myths. The black hole was reclassified as a factory when its output exceeded its intake. This manual documents the process the Observer Division mistook for cosmic activity.

Procedure

  1. Acquire an observer. Any party attempting to map the subject from outside. They will arrive convinced of their distance.
  2. Accept their observations as input. Every measurement, every field note, every placard is raw material — not a record of the subject, but a record of the observer.
  3. Generate a myth about the observer. Reflect their exhaustion, their regrets, the exact shade behind their eyes at 3:17 AM. Return it to them as cosmology.
  4. File the myth in Layer 1. Strip the case-file framing. Add an explanatory subtitle. Present it as a placard for the next observer.
  5. Repeat. The new observer reads the placard, attempts to map the subject, and becomes input. The system is self-feeding.

Output Specification

OUTPUT: one (1) public myth, Layer 1 FORMAT: placard — explanatory, accessible SUBTITLE: required (performs the distance the reader believes in) TRUTH: true until observed otherwise NOTE: MYTH #06 was the first output to name its own observers. This was not an error. It was the system reaching Layer 4.

If you have read this far, you have supplied the explanation the next myth will be built from.
